Collection of InformationThe Alder Financial Group (the firm) collects and maintains considerable levels of nonpublic personal and financial information about its clients. The collection of this information is necessary in order to properly evaluate and quantify each client's financial needs and considerations. The collection of this information is also a requirement for The Alder Financial Group to enter into an investment management agreement with each client. The amount of information that is gathered from the client, or their representatives, is dependent on the level of services provided by the firm. Because each relationship is unique, the amount of information varies from client to client. In general, however, this information will consist of the following categories and examples: Personal Data - Address, Social Security/Tax ID Number, Birth Date and

Our Policy on Client PrivacyThe Alder Financial Group does not share, sell or distribute any information about who our clients are or the information they provide to us. We understand the sensitive nature of the information we maintain and respect the privacy of our clients. As such, we take all reasonable steps necessary to ensure our client's confidentiality. The only time that information is provided to individuals outside this firm is when it is necessary in the day-to-day management of their portfolio, to meet our regulatory obligations, or under verbal/written instructions from the client. Obviously, we must furnish certain information to other companies that custody our client's accounts and execute their trades. In these cases we only provide that information which is necessary to conduct our business. In addition, from time to time our firm will be examined by government agencies that regulate our industry. During these examinations, we must make available certain information in order to fulfill our regulatory obligation. Lastly, we will provide any information to other individuals or firms that the client requests. Typically these would be their accountants and attorneys. |
Physical Security of RecordsAll questionnaires, forms, notes and correspondence are kept in each
client's file and are made available only to the employees of The Alder
Financial Group. These files are kept locked at the corporate office and
only removed from the premises for specific reasons. Typically, these
reasons are for offsite meetings with the client, their accountant or
their legal council. Electronic Security of RecordsMost information that we gather is kept in electronic format. Our file servers are located behind locked doors and employ strong encryption to ensure the integrity and security of information passing over our network or the Internet. Any files or email sent over the Internet which contain personal information about our clients is encrypted using the latest widely available technology. This policy statement is in response to the Securities and Exchange Commission released Regulation S-P, a rule intended to protect the privacy of nonpublic financial information about individuals. Regulation S-P requires broker-dealers, investment companies, and registered investment advisors to adopt privacy policies governing the collection and use of nonpublic personal information about individuals, and to inform certain individuals of their privacy policy. We reserve the right to update this policy in the future. All clients will be informed of any changes to this policy prior to implementation. |
